What’s new?

You can now launch a clinic-branded Progressive Web App (PWA) — a powerful extension of the Embodia patient portal that functions like a mobile app from an app store, including notifications. 

This modern, web-based app can be accessed directly from a browser and added to your patients’ home screens — giving your clinic a polished, app-like experience without taking up phone storage or requiring updates through app stores.

 

Why set up a clinic-branded PWA?

With your new PWA, you can:

  • Showcase your clinic’s brand: Customize the app icon, logo, colours, and interface to reflect your clinic’s identity.

  • Deliver a full-service mobile experience: Beyond exercises, you can offer booking, product purchases, memberships, secure messaging, and more.

  • Accept payments with ease: Patients can pay directly through the app for services, invoices, and products.

  • Access instant updates: Skip app store delays. Any updates or fixes we release are live immediately on your PWA.

 

What is a Progressive Web App (PWA)?

A PWA is a web-based application that functions like a mobile app. Patients can:

  • Open it from any browser

  • Add it to their home screen

  • Use it in full-screen mode

  • Enjoy fast, secure, always up-to-date functionality

  • Experience your clinic’s branding at every step

Ready to get started?

This feature is currently in Beta, which is our final testing phase where we look for user feedback to make minor final adjustments and fixes.

To enable your PWA:

  1. Email us at support@embodiaapp.com and request access.

  2. Once enabled, go to:
    Settings > Communication & Branding > PWA Settings

  3. Complete the form on the page — step-by-step guidance is included under each field.

That’s it! You can now share your new app with your patients by providing them with, or directing them to, your online booking patient portal link.
